We are a small, independent, family owned riding school and livery yard on the outskirts of Llantwit Major. Established in 1994, we have grown to be a popular riding school for both the beginner and the experienced rider.
At Dimlands Riding School we aim to help you or your child achieve your riding goals in a relaxed and friendly environment. Our Instructers are knowledgeable, experienced and have a good relationship with all horses and ponies. We have thirty four fantastic horses and ponies that will be suitable for any rider and can cater to all abilities. Our two outdoor menages include a large jumping arena and flood lighting that enables lessons to extend into the evenings all year round.
Group, Semi - Private and Private riding lessons are available as well as stable management lessons. Group lessons will never have more than eight riders to ensure that everyone gets the most out of their lesson. Contact us to find the best option for you or your child.

Here is some essential information you will need to know before your first lesson.
Please arrive 15minutes before your lesson. This will allow you time to fill out forms and familiarise yourself with the yard.
Wear comfy clothes with long sleeves, tie hair back and remove ALL jewellery and piercings.
Unfortunately we cannot teach any child under the age of 4years due to our policy.
Here is some essential equipment you will need to have before your first lesson, we do have equipment available for hire.
Riding Hats
We have riding hats available for your to hire for a fee of £1.00/per lesson. If you have your own personal hat it must meet our required hat standards. These are PASS 015 1998/2011
Body Protectors
Body protectors are not compulsory however they are recommended.
Riding Boots
Correct riding boots must be worn to every lesson. They must have a flat sole and small block heel. We have riding boots available for you to hire for free.
Riding Gloves
Riding Gloves are not compulsory however they are recommended.
